Need help in knowing how to get rid of red slime algae. I have already used

sal 1.024
calicum 420

lighting is on 11 hours a day
only feed twice a day
have one small blue tang
anoeme (however you spell it) with two host
two small yellow chromis
1 blue devil
1 lawmower blenny
cleaner sprimp
1 clam

have skimmer
power head

Want to set up some coral in another month or two
Any help would be much appreciate

Pick up a copy of the 2005 annual Marine Fish and Reef magazine. They have what
appears to be a good article.

There's plenty of room for all of God's creatures. Right next to the
mashed potatoes.

Sounds like a flow issue.

Do you use RO/DI water, or out of the tap? If using RO/DI how old are
your filters? I am finally winning a 4 month battle with red slime and
hair algae that appeared out of no where. Turns out my filters were
bad and once I replaced them the red slime went away and the hair algae
is slowly disappearing.
If you are not using RO/DI water I would strongly recommend it.

Thanks for all the info. I do not use RO, all I use is well water. I have a
spare 25 gallon tank which I use for doing the water changes. I keep the
water in the spare tank for a month before I change. It is slowing
disappearing, I have cleaned all the filtration systems, skimmer etc, and
also have changed the timer on the lights, it has helped, all I need now is
patience.
Once again thanks for the info, the 2005 annual Marine Fish and Reef
magazine is excellent, it states all what everyone said.
