guppy fry disease question

I got some female guppies from the lfs awhile back and one of them
happened to be pregnant. By the time I got a breeder net after I got
home from work I had 14 fry left. At this point I now have 8. 3 of
them disappeared? and 2 of them died(1 unknown causes other
described below). I started really paying attention after that since
it all happened within two days. The one that I watched had a stiff
tail like it didn't want to move and it's tail fin was clamped to into
the shape of a point and the fish just stayed on the bottom. I removed
him and he died within 24 hours. This morning I noticed that another
one of my guppy fry was showing the exact same symptoms so I
have removed him also. The other thing I noticed is of my remaining
fry some are much larger than others(over twice the size). One is
much larger than the rest and some are very small still. This only
seems to be affecting the smaller ones. My water parameters
are normal(for me): 0ppm Ammonia/Nitrite, 25ppm Nitrate, 80F,
ph7.8. Anyone have any ideas?

Fry are notoriously sensitive to water changes. I wouldn't give much
value to the first brood dropped by a new arrival livebearer, much less
fry dropped on the first day. I don't think you have any problems to be
looking for. jmo ymmv
