I just wanted to warn folks out there that last night I noticed that
when I put my hand in the water I got a painful shock. I checked out
all my equipment and it turned out that the light switch hanging on the
back of the tank was electrifying the tank. Since I use the timer
anyway I wrapped the switch in a bunch of sandwich bags and then the
shock was gone. I would recommend this or something like it as a
preventative measure for anyone out there. Since the fish weren't
grounded they are all fine. I guess this could be a theft deterrent
for fancy fish stores.
