red rams

[Larry]

Went to my LFS and saw "red rams" They were not the blue rams I have
before. They were all about 2". Anybody know what other name they
might have?

I have seen the Bolivian Ram (Microgeophagus altispinosa) refered to as
the Red Ram. They are hardier than the Blue Ram (Papliochromis ramirezi)
but ussually not as colorfull. They allso breed more readily.

I have Bolivian Rams....they are *much* hardier than ramirezi (what happened
to Apistogrammi (sp unsure)

My LFS lists them by whim, Bolivian sometimes, Red sometimes, and just Ram
other times.
