I agree with Brian whole heartily. DON'T reply to anything that shows
up posted to any other group, even rec. birds!!!!!!!!!!!

Agent has an option - SHOW ALL HEADER FIELDS>

You can see if the subject is posted to other groups. If it is not
most regulars to any ng know who should be ignored.

Get this program - it's free - if yours does not have the ability to
show crossposts get a program that does.

Heck, I hit the GET NEW HEADER button and get 100 messages on several
of my ngs but I only see 30 of them (as an example).

Doesn't get all the bad guys but tolerable. If you want to talk about
pond stuff then bite the bullet when you are tempted to respond to one
of the many "sh_i_ _eads" that are around trying to get your ire or
attention.

Problem as Brian stated is that many of us cannot resist the urge to
answer a troll(just something about the net). There has to be a ng
for those who have no life..

Good luck ponders. I'll bet that many of us could not go 48 hours
without the urge to reply to some issue other than pond stuff. Try it
and see it you can make it.

All the best,

Larry

hello Larry,

I heard good things about AGENT but once the free term expires does it
do what it is supposed to do ?

I have version 1.91. I tried to download a trial version of 2.0 but
it doesn't have crossposting. Is this because it's a trial version?
Anuyone know?

My version crossposts fairly well. Guess if I'm the first to download
it, or open it then it won't get caught in the crosspost checking.

All the best,

Larry
