It's a jam jar! and it has hornwort, duckweed and an aquatic grassy
thing rooted in the sand & gravel substrate and growing out of the top
of the jar for when the inhabitant, a dragonfly nymph, needs to fly.

I hate to break it to you, but this is definitely NOT the smallest
aquarium in the world.... people have done much more with much
less.... i.e. shot glasses and other containers around that size
range... but keep trying, you may beat someone else's record eventually.

Me: Owwwww, he's so cute!
DeNymph: Are YOU talking to ME? Are YOU talking to ME? I don't see
anybody else around, so you MUST be talking to ME.

sorry, the "smallest" bit wasn't supposed to be the main thing, I'm not
doing it for a record! I'm just pleased by the fact that it's functional
and biologically stable...

Just whatever you do, do NOT try it with a fish.
It's simply cruel.
Worse then keeping a male Betta in one of those tiny cups at PetsMart
for life. = (

I wouldn't.
the smallest aquarium I have is 13 gallon and I can't bring myself to
use it as anything other than a quarantine tank. I think I might keep
the nymph in it once I've got the dwarf gourami girls and some striatas
into the tropical tank.
