Can someone recommend some good online fish stores? Ones that you yourself
have had good experience with please. Preferably in Canada but US would work
too.

Thanks,
Kelly

I've ordered equipment from J & L Aquatics in Vancouver a couple of times
and both times the experience was very good. The equipment arrived here in
Ottawa within a few days of ordering. They offer livestock as well, but I
prefer to buy livestock locally.

They have a site at www.jlaquatics.com

Regards,

Dave.

Dave, you're in Ottawa too? Wicked awesome. Is it just me, or is there
a lack of Marine societies here? (OVAS doesn't really fill that
niche... well, at least their website seems to say they don't...)

Hi Marco,

Yup, another Ottawa dweller getting ready to hunker down inside for winter.
:)

I haven't looked around for any local marine societies. There must be some
though, going by the number of stores in the area there must be quite a few
people keeping marine/reef tanks. The best place I've found so far is Marine
Scape on Carling, just West of Bronson. The next time I'm in there I'll ask
the guys if they know of any clubs. BTW, the store has a web site at
www.marinescapeaquarium.com. I bought rock, a couple of clowns and two frags
of polyps from them and everything is going very well. Their prices are much
better than the big stores - like Big Al's - and although I've had great
service from the kids who work in Big Al's, for whatever reason I trust the
advice of the guys at Marine Scape more.

Take care,

Dave.
