View Full Version : Cleaning Bubble Wall

Anyway, back to my SpongeBob tank, the bubble wall (think that's what
it's called) has four holes for air. Two of them seem to be plugged. I
dug around and there isn't anything in there that I can see, so I'm
asking how to clean it.

Also, if I do find a used 10 gallon, is there any treatment I should do
before I set it up?

Soak in vinegar for a day or 3 and then give a good hose down with high
pressure. Should do the trick.

Or follow the following instructions at the following url on the web (cut
and paste the entire url (html is the end of this url) if necessary, I
thought about sending this message in html format but I don't want to
alienate anyone or do something non-standard just because this url gets cut
off on the u of update) -

I tried the air pump and it worked like a charm. I pushed slowly so
that I wouldn't break anything and it cleared things out. The first
opening works a little oddly, instead of a steady stream of bubbles it
waits a second or two and then belches out a big bubble, but the other
opening is working just like the rest.

Thanks ton. It's only about 3 or 4 weeks old so I hoped it didn't need
to be cleaned out yet.

Cool, I love it when I find things that help!
