Hi,

I have been having a problem with my endler guppies for aropund 6
months now, its driving me mad.

All the adult females keep getting a whitish patch/patches on thier
body and then dying. Here is the really starnge thing though, it is
ONLY the females, the males are always okay, and sometimes they have
fry before it starts up. The fry are also always okay, it is ONLY when
they become adult females.

My tank parameters are all normal, they are kept in a rio 400, very
under stoked and heavily planted.

I have treid a number of treatments and they dont touch it.

Esha 2000
Interpet white spot
Interpet Internal bacteria
Interpet velvit $ slime
Interpet anti fungus and some others.
Oh and Salt

I am lost on what to do....

Any help?

How many males to females do you have? Always have more female guppies
to male guppies. As the males would probably be chasing them to breed
again, stress will make them more susceptible to disease.

Have you tried turning up the temperature in the tank?
This will help to kill off any parasites.
Remember to do water changes after any medical treatments.
What other symptoms do your fish show before they die? Do they flick
around?
How much salt do you add?
What's the water chemistry?

I'd agree with the suggestion that you try adjusting the
temperature of your tank. In some species, females change temperature
slightly when they start producing eggs. I'm wondering if that kind of
change could be what's making the difference in this case.
