cultivating white worms

I am looking for instructions on cultivating white worms. I'm actually
trying this for finches but since I know many fish enthusiasts feed live
foods, I was hoping someone could tell me. The internet was less than
helpful.

i got a starter batch from a finch breeder, but all she said was put them in
dirt. Also less than helpful.
