Hello all,
I have a couple of All-Glass compact fluorescent 48 inch strip lights
on my Malawi and South American cichlids tanks and I am trying to
find suitable replacement bulbs. I really like the 55 W bulbs that
came with the lights. These are made by GE and have a temperature of
9375 Kelvin if I recall correctly; however, my LFS says these cannot
be ordered or purchased. I have tried three other 10,000 Kelvin
bulbs, from All-Glass, A. H. Supply, and corallife (?) bulbs I
ordered through Big Al's. However, all of these bulbs cast a light
with a distinctly greenish tint which I detest. Does anyone have
insight as to where I might get 55 W compact fluorescent bulbs that
cast a white light without a greenish or other coloration?
Regards,
Meph
P.S.: Does anyone know what happened to the African Cichlid Resource
Forum? It seems to have been shut down.
