Quiet Air Pumps

Can anyone tell me which is the quietest air pump?
Roughly, if anyone can quantify it in words, how much noise should and air
pump make. I'm convinced the one I got when I bought a second hand tank is
ancient and noisy.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have slowly been replacing my pumps with Rena pumps. They're not
too expensive, but they're very quiet. When suspended form the
undersize of the stand, they're silent in any but the stillest house.
