View Full Version : Brinse Shrimp a bust

I bought some Brine Shrimp for the crew, but it did not go over well.
The Betta was a definite no, eating the same piece over and over again and
spitting it out. The GF (Goldfish) were the same story, except they were
bright enough to realise it was the same food after they tried it once. The
Tiger Barbs also turned up their noses, the only takers were the Gold Barbs
and the Tetras. The Yoyo Loach is still intent on being an Algae eater and
paid no attention to his treat. I'm beginning to think he's intellectually
challenged, even for a fish. :)

Feeding some fish Brine shrimp, is a bit like eating Spaghetti with a
spoon, for the first time, once you work out which end to chew your a-way.
Some fish never get the hang of it others will gulp down whatever gets in
there way. But once they start to eat it, they will expect it. Then what
goes to the tank floor, gets taken by the clean-up crew, who don,t have a
clue what there eating, only that they are. "**** what was that, there's
another one" gulp.
The only problem with feeding such food is it does hype up some fish,
and they want to fight everything, that gets in there way, It will also
induce some fish to "Spawn"

The excess on the bottom disappeared, so perhaps the Loach found it.
The Ottos have been getting frisky, but not be cause of the shrimp. I may
have fish food (fry) any day now. :)
