Yellowing plant HELP!

Hello,

I'm still having some trouble with the new growth on most of my plants...
Leaves are coming in yellowish, and some are very pale...

Here are some specifics:

33 Gallon tank
96 Watt PC lighting (48 watts @ 10,000k and 48 watts @ 6,700k)
Pressurized CO2 injection
I dose 10 ml of Tropica Master Grow 4 times per week
I dose 10 ml of SeaChem Iron 4 times per week (same days as tropica master
grow)
I change 60% of the water religiously every week.

I'm going to try doubling my dosage of Iron... but other than that, what
gives!?

Are you seeing yellowing, or chlorosis? Yellowed new growth AND veins
in older growth is chlorosis and indicates iron (or Mg or Mn)
deficiency. Yellowing of the whole leaves, plants quickly dropping old
leaves, and new growth coming in pale or stunted sounds more like
nitrogen shortage to me. Could be potash or phosphate as well, although
I think TMG has reasonable amounts of potash.

Have you tested your water for nitrate, phosphate, and iron levels? I
wouldn't bump up iron until I ran the tests because too much is bad for
your fish.

After reading your description, I think your Nitrogen deficiency more
accurately describes my situation..

I'll double check all of those readings again.... But if I recall, each of
them are low.. Maybe I need to UP my dosing of TMG???

I read somewhere that a 10,000 bulb doesn't really do anything for plants...
If that's accurate, then I really only have a 48 watt bulb at 6,700k... So
that's only 1.4 watts per gallon.. Think that may be part of the problem??

[Dogma Discharge]

Up all your ferts including co2 and stay with the 1.4wpg. Give it 2 weeks
and see what the tank looks like.

I don't think light is your problem. Lack of light usually causes
aquarium plants to collapse into a brown mush. ;-) Besides, my tank is
running at 10,000K - LFS told me they were putting in 5500K and put in
10,000K instead. I recently found this out when I had a look at the
bulb, planning to change it. My stem plants are growing well enough to
require pruning twice a month.

I looked up TMG, and it's only an iron/trace element fertilizer. You
should be dosing the TMG to get your iron up to at least 0.2 ppm.
You'll need to add nitrate separately, preferably as KN03. I suspect
more nitrate will fix your problems, as long as your phosphate is 0.25
ppm or higher. If not, you'll need a bit of K2PO4 as well.

OK... after a week of doubling my Iron dosing, I've noticed a bunch of my
plants turning a pretty deep brown.. I'm pretty sure that's not good! So
I'm backing off my Iron dosing for the coming week...
