Why would your god - who supposedly is Love and all that - be
involved in destroying the world? Must be tough love...psycho,
twisted tough love.

Jesus will shoot eveyone he doesn't know? Yup, that proves what a loving
god he is.
Of course there is the problem of the farmer. The idiot doesn't know the
difference between a dog and a wolf. Wolves don't look like dogs.
The story shows just how stupid some people can be.

I don't understand. You wrote rec.ponds to tell us not to feed trolls (7/10
Sunday Welcome to Rec.Ponds), but this sure looks like troll bait to me!
What has this got to do with rec.ponds? Why did you feel the need to post it
here? Where's the "OT" in the subject line?
I'm not against religion at all. I just like to keep it in its own
newsgroup(s).
Please fix your newsgroups header - pull OUT rec.ponds when you're posting a
religious item! Don't feed the trolls, indeed!
Thank you!

obligatory pond question: how long should you leave a new fish in a 3% salt
bath before it's safe to put it into your pond? Or should the % be stronger?
I've seen conflicting information.

$$ I don't use salt baths for fish. I quarantine them for 21 days before
adding them to my ponds. During that time all I use is Quick Cure as
someone I know suggested. I've had no problems.

Today, our society is caught up in the grip of superficial
values---glamour, glitter, materialism, a pathological emphasis on
youth, a neglect of the elderly, the handicapped. Families are being
broken up under the impact of a frenzied desire for success. Violence is
glorified and paraded in front of children every day on the media.
Basic human value, basic decent, kindness, cooperation are less and less
evident. Economic pressures and psychological pressures mount. More and
more individuals feel unhappiness---and helplessness---in their
acquisitiveness for pleasure and accumulation in this selfish society.
They turn to artificial stimulants, they lose touch with themselves.
Their problems, their insecurities mount, and become dependency. The
suicides of society cause us to reflect on the terrible trend.
