The situation in our market changes frequently, new stores
appear, so I will ask you again - what is the source of
live sand you could recommend for seeding larger amount of
dead sand? I am not talking about the sand with bacteria only
but sand with crawling animals in it - real live sand :-)

The best source is from a display tank or refugium at your LFS or from any
reefer in your vicinity. You only need 1 or 2 cups worth.

I have tried that and none of the LFS in our area (I live near Pzemol) use
refugiums. Whenever I ask, the try selling me a bag of the "live sand" for

But we both started DSB in the same time and we both are
looking for seeding. My 30g reef was going throug the
high NO3 "disaster" phase and the bottom is almost dead.
Does not fit for the good seeding sand description...
This is the reason I look for a good seeding source.
