Thanks Gill. Enjoyed them all, especially the full view of the Malawi
tank and the Queen Arabesque. Those Clowns sure love their zucchini.

Thanks :-)
I'll be taking some more in a few weeks time, including the other tanks. I'm
going to try and set up my own site for these now I've got a bit more spare
time.

I love the rock formation. I bet this tank is harder to maintain than
your tank with plants?

personal information. This will never be given out. It's a free

Hi,
That is a beautiful tank, i've always wanted to an amazon looking
tank...what kind of plant is that big one? Are there any requirements
in terms of CO2?

Thanks
I need to clean the glass on the front two to three times a week because of
the algae, other than that the maintenance is pretty much the same as the
tank with the plants. I worry about nitrates getting too high because of the
lack of plants but to date (fingers crossed) that hasn't been an issue.
I leave the algae growth on the rocks and never clean the back - the Plec
takes care of the back and also the rocks with help from the fry that nibble
at it.
I went through a stage of having a very bright green carpet of algae on the
substrate that looked kind of weird. I spent around 10 minutes every day
peeling it off to get rid of it and most of it has gone now.

I have to confess I am hopeless when it comes to the names of aquatic
plants - I really need to start researching them in the same way as I do the
ones that go in the garden....I'm also not sure which plant you mean - is it
the one behind the Gourami? I can find out what it is quite easily.....
I don't use CO2 although I know that there are lots of people on this ng
that do. The tank gets plenty of light (even without me turning on the tank
light), I occassionally put in plant food if I remember. The tank has a
reasonably high fish load so most of the nutrients come from them - nitrates
are usually around 5.

Hi Gill,
I only use ferrous liquid dung. No additional CO2, but in my tank there
are a lot of fishes.
