I have a 65 gallon reef, 15 gal sump, outside skimmer. Would I run a
tube from the skimmer outlet to the chiller and let it flow directly
into the tank?
Does anyone know anything about Pacific Coast chillers?
Thanks
Rob

I personally would add a seperate pump just for the chiller.
Dump the water back into your sump so that it can mix with
the tank water before being sent back up to your tank. Otherwise
you'll create a "cool" spot in the display.

Although, I am not familiar with the chiller you mention, one can often
obtain a small boost in skimmer performance by having the skimmer's influent
either plumbed off the chiller's effluent or, in the case of a "drop in"
chiller, having the skimmer's intake placed as close to the heat exchanger
coil as possible. Colder water has a higher density then warmer water. So,
not only does one's skimmer get a boost from smaller bubble size but also
from the increase in the saturation point of gasses.
