We have softened well water and this drinking water filter.

Is there an advantage to using THIS filter for replacement water? It
doesn't mention it, but, any ideas if it will remove the Sodium Chloride in
the water? Any other benefits?

At 0.6 gpm, it might slow down your water changes. It's carbon, so
basically VOCs and particles bigger than 0.5 microns (according to their
specs). You will reduce its life expectancy, and the benefit depends on
whether there is anything in your water which you want removed and it
removes it. It won't do anything about the salt your softener adds :-(
It certainly won't be harmful to use it for the fish tanks.

Thanks NetMax, didn't know if there were any real benefits. All my fish
seem to be thriving on the water the way it is. No need to mess that up.
When I started with my first tank at home (120g) I used a "Tap Water Filter"
for all of my water changes, and I was loosing fish left and right. I quit
using it and have only lost two fish in three years.
Thanks Again
