It seems to me that I have seen two different fish called "Pimodella
pictus." One seems to be more silvery with rounder, better defined
spots, the other is greyer with a few small, vague horizontal lines
and less well defined spots. I saw quite a few of the former in shops
a few weeks ago but now I seem to only see the latter type. My fear
is that they are seasonal breeders and that the former species is no
longer available for the year. Does anyone have any info on these
guys? Any on line resources?

Thanks very much.

http://www.scotcat.com/home.htm and
http://www.planetcatfish.com/ are good resources.

Store names can be quite bogus.
