I was wondering what kind of rocks people use in their aquariums. It's
my understanding that rocks can provide a buffer for pH but I've
searched the 'net and can't seem to find any information on it.

Can any one point me to some useful information?

Thanks.

your welcome

Note that these rock's (ie: such as aragonite, dolomite, limestone,
marble, coral and tufa) buffering effect is a function of your water's
natural acidity, the surface area of the rocks versus the volume and
turbulence of the water, and the characteristics of the rocks themselves
(ie: marble slow, tufa quick), so there is a little science beyond just
the name. hth
