What John?? :-)) I do not see any John here... hurrah!

No, there is no way to ban him from this group, it is puplic
and not moderated forum, so the only way to get rid of him
from your eyes is to use some good filters based on a scoring
methods. Microsoft Outlook Express alone is not good enough.
You need to have some software in between to filter morons like
him before the group finds its way to your Outlook Express.
I am using Hamster as my local news server for this purpose.
It works great - I did not even know he has changed his nick to
be John now... I appreciate your post, it's proven my filter works!

You might be able to filter me from your news reader today Chicago boy, but
you can't filter out the SPAM you're getting in your mailbox... and the
newsposter "fix" will go away for you and many others soon.

In a few months, when I get back, I will return with a newsposter that I
just finished writing... that takes random newsproxies from a list that I
create and randomly pulls one of those proxies in order to post I am sure
you will get sick of creating news filters time and time again.

For now, I am off to Brazil for a 2 month get away to see how many reefers I
can smoke and how many fish I can kill spearfishing. Maybe I'll come across
Tiffany along the way... ROTFLMAO...

I know, you'll miss my cheerful posts... I'll be back...

The easiest thing to do is simply ignore him. Any troll loses all his
power when everyone ignores him.

We might be free of him shortly, the law enforcement
people on this are very interested in his continual bragging
about the Sven Virus he is sending us. They are fully
aware of him trying to skirt what he's actually doing by
labeling it as "SPAM" in his posts.

And Cox is very interested in his criminal actions.
Cox even called ME today on the latest post from him
to you, that I forwarded to Cox.

Law enforcement seems determined to investigate
and prosecute this criminal activity and threats from him.
My family are very upset and worried what this person
might do next.
Law Enforcement and Cox seem genuinely concerned.

So lets cross our fingers.

I would be very careful in your slander there Mr. Seyler. Your lack of
knowledge and understanding of computers in general is obvious in your
posts. Everyone is plagued with spam and everyone is getting the viruses
that you mention, but for you to pick up the telephone and contact law
enforcement authorities (again) is irresponsible if not reckless.

Trolling and flaming is all that I have ever done to anyone in this
newsgroup and obviously you can't handle that so, get off the net before you
cause more problems for yourself than you care to know about. I would hate
for the IRS to spring in on you and pull an audit on your backyard business.

What was so interesting in that post Cox reacted?
I guess since I am filtering him I am loosing all the fun ;-)
What is the date of the posting? I might dig it up from
my kill-file this time...

Come on...
Just filter him out and stop feeding the troll
with your reactions to his childish actions. This will
probably give him more time to do something
usefull with his life... Maybe he will even pick
some girl up and finally release this pressure
has built up in his pants for so much time ... ;-)
Filtering him is realtively easy and it works for me.
E-mail me if you want some tips on how to do it...

I appreciate what your saying.

Let this person do what he wants on a newsgroup.
That's what killfiles are for.

But this person has directly contacted
my family which have received his threatening
emails. And the Sven virus he is continuing to send
is effecting my business directly.

Bad public behavior is one thing, but this person is directly
effecting my family and business and I will do everything
I can within the law to stop his criminal actions toward myself
and my family.......

Agree - these are two different things and I did not read
clearly this before. Had no idea his is bugging you directly.

Bob
October 16th 03, 06:06 PM
That is where you are in error and I would challenge you to prove what you
claim is an email from me personally as I do not interact with anyone via
email ever. I have never contacted you personally via email, telephone or
morse code. I am flattered that you think I am the person that wrote or sent
you those viruses, but I am not. You are 1 in a possible 6 billion people
that have received those emails. I set up blocks on my mail server to reject
those messages. For you to slander me and attempt to waste my time... that
is criminal in my world.

I am a troll and you took the bait and way too far from what you allege, but
can never provide the proof that anyone needs IF this was a crime. Quite
frankly, you are a bluff and an idiot just as you have proved in the past.

Sending you SPAM is not a crime in the USA, but is against many TOS
contracts. It is even in my TOS that I make all of my customers agree to
prior to signing them on.

Trust me Mr. Seyler, I know this e-world better than you or any law
enforcement agency in the world. I might act like a dip **** because I play
a great troll, but you do not know the real me and I would welcome anyone to
challenge this... I have been around for a long time... I have nothing to
hide. I don't have to mask my headers because what I do is not criminal...
it is annoying.

Have a great day... and enjoy the SPAM!!!!

Spell check pszemol?

Why would I contact one individual when I can get everyone's goat at one
time in this group?

I don't need to prove otherwise, but filing false reports with the feds will
cost this joker if that is what he did... and if anyone knocks on my door...
I will be billing at a rate in excess of what Seyler could ever pay... I
would then file a suit in my county, city and state and get a judgment
against Mr. Seyler because I can.... as a matter of fact... anyone can file
a lawsuit for anything at any time for a small fee usually under $20. I
think I might just go files something today against Mr. Seyler since...
after all... his identity is posted all over the internet ;).

I am sure he will want to purchase something nice someday aside from his
shack on the beach... and in turn, I would get my money ;). Isn't the USA
great???!!!!

How's this grab ya. It's from one of your posts earlier today, in case you

like a little more than trolling is coming out of your computer. I can't
believe you actually posted that here, who's the moron now?
Hope you got your **** together is all I can say.

Just check your newsreader help file and you'll likely find a way to
filter out his posts. We call them "Killfiles". Set it up correctly and
you won't see his posts.

Or....you can just not read them.

You can't "banish" anyone. These NG's are all about free speech. A
moderated newsgroup is one where some person or persons decide what gets
posted and what doesn't.
The absolute best way to deal with people you don't like is to not post
to them or about them. As soon as they are totally ignored they will go
away.

Reading them was like rubber necking at a bloody accident scene,
tempting for a while until you feel cruddy for looking.

I doubt very much that Marc wrote any of those notes with his name on
them. It all looked like shadow boxing to me. Very weird.
