Just about to set up 18x10x10 tank for 1 or 2 small goldfish. Is a
Fluval 1 plus suitable? Would like to hear some reveiws on this
product. With thanks.

Get the one that turns over as close to 10x tank water per hour.

I have a fluval 1+ on an 18*12*15 and it's absolutely adequate as f are as
biological filtration goes, it also provides enough movement at the surface
of the water to keep it oxygenated. It's not really a mechanical filter
though, so if you're after absolutely crystal clear water it might not be for
you. I've got an eheim aquaball on my biggest tank which does a really good
job - it's got compartment for various media, so if you get one with two
compartments you could go for coarse and fine filter media. I like it a lot.
