Where can I find on the net a compact flourescent light fixture that will
give me at least 2 wpg for a 58G? The tank is 36" long.

Thanks

I don't if they can do 120W in 36" but www.ahsupply.com is often referenced
by DIY hood builders.

www.hellolights.com has some pretty nice looking stuff. They've got two
Coralife aqualights, one with one 96W bulb and one with two.
http://www.hellolights.com/36cfpchoods.html is the page.

Which of the two do you recommend for my tanks?

Take a look at these 36" lights

http://www.bigalsonline.com/search/?type=category&method=all&category_id=1875&collection=sitebuilder%2Fcatalog3-1&keywords1=36&x=8&y=16

I prefer the Current USA Orbit 36" 2 x 96 192W because of the lunar lights
or the All-Glass Compact Fluorescent Strip Light- 36" 110W

That would be less than 2 wpg on the all glass. Do you think it will work
for a 58G? The orbit one is black and my tank is oak.

Depends on what you're trying to do. 96W will give you enough light for
low light plants like crypts, java fern, java moss, and anubias. You
may not have to use CO2, and algae will be relatively easy to control.

192W Will grow just about anything you put in the tank. However, you
will need to use CO2, a planted tank substrate, and fertilize properly
to avoid having an algae farm.

If I were setting up the tank, I'd look for about 160W, but settle for
the 192W rather than the 96W because I love the difficult, red plants.
