Well I guess it had to happen one day.
I had my first dead fish in over seven years
today. Out of the original 12 feeder goldfish
I bought over seven years ago, one died the second
day. There have been no more until today...
The pond is loaded with plants as is the veggie
filter. The water is crystal clear all the way to the
bottom, four feet deep. I also tested the water and it's
right where it's supposed to be.
Maybe it was just it's time...

Yep, though goldfish can live for up to 25 years, I think the average is
8-10 years. ~ jan

Too bad. Good age, tho. That is a typical lifespan, as I understand
it. Our originals are now in the 8 yr bracket.
