Anacharis question

Just a quick question about the metal ring that holds the Anacharis in
a bunch (I bought from petsmart)

What is it made of and is it safe for my fishes to keep in the water?

Most likely Lead, is it soft and bendy? Even if it is lead, it is likely
safe. Unless you have very acidic water.

Some are made of an even safer magnesium alloy. I've never had problems
from plant weights either.
