Interested in purchasing a CPR Overflow How to Install?

Interested in purchasing a CPR Overflow but do not know how to actually
hook it up to a 49 Gal Sal****er tank coral with some nemo fishes...
any suggestions or advise. I have a CPR Refugium but somehow there is a
think oil like substance above the surface all time which I had spoken
to an aquarium specialist here locally but they do not even know how to
hook it up. I have tried many suface extraction but none worked well.
This is my last resort.. as the others did not work well as I do not
have much space to install it as due to the Refugium, protein skimmer,
auto feeders, etc.. and the tank is a bow shape thus making it harder
to install anything else. As I am trying not to install a Sump.... due
to lack of living space. Help!!!

What is the point of the overflow if you don't plan to drain water down
into a sump?

Sounds to me like there is nothing to break up or skim the surface of the
water. A powerhead aimed at the surface should be all you need to solve
your problem. You could even use an airstone or two to accomplish that as
well.

The reason for the overflow is to get water down to a sump, the by-product
of that is, it skims off the surface of the water breaking up those
proteins and oils.
