Food grade buckets

Hi,

I've got my hands on some food grade buckets from a cafeteria, rich with
pickle smell, which I understand will never totally go away.

Is there any danger in using these to mix sal****er in, for my tanks, or
any other such aquarium maintenance use (like curing live rock or
temporary holding of livestock)

I mean, I know food grade buckets are great to use, but what of the
pickle legacy? Harmless?

Harmless. And, if anything can remove the pickle smell, I'd say mixing a few
batches of sal****er in the buckets will do it.
