Mark and all of the other experts out there, here is a question:

I setup my new 46G tank with LS (live sand 55lbs), live rock 45lbs (another
25lbs on the way) two weeks ago to the day. Today I checked the ammonia
levels of the tank and they are at 0ppm. Unfortunately I have not checked
before this, so I do not know if it spiked and came down. Is two weeks
enough to do a cycle?

Thanks

It is time to test your Nitrites and Nitrates.

Marc

its possiable, but its quick none the less. it should have some trace if
its not cycled. could be the test kit, might be cycled. check NO2 and NO3
as well to see for sure.

Probably it is, if your live rock was cured, then it could very easily hav
ethe ammonia down to zero in two weeks. What did you use to cycle the tank
with?

Also, like Marc already said, now check your nitrites until they hit 0, then
worry about your nitrates.
