Hi;
I'm afraid I have an Aipstasia hitch-hiker on a piece of LR...Can I just put
it in freshwater for a couple hours to kill it? Will that hurt the coraline
algae?
THanks,
Dan

There are many ways to get rid of it.
Search on www.google.com or www.reefcentral.com
No point repeating everything every other week.

Try a kalk paste, vinegar, lemon juice. If none of those work, try boiling
water. If that doesn't work, do the freshwater.

If you can quarantine it to a bucket or tank (with NSW) so that you will
not have a spread to the rest of your tank. One aptasia does not sound like
you need to go to extremes so try a peppermint shrimp or some kalk
injection.

i tried somebody elses idea, i injected them with lime juice, their idea
waqs lemon juice. it kills them. i used a hypodermic needle. .killed 2 of
them an hour ago, and 2 of them last week this way. they turn instantly
grey and shrivled up, then the hermit gets a aptasia and lemon special after
that. lol
