For those with starfish, how do you go about feeding and what type of food
works best?

Thanks!

Dave.

Pretty simple really, I leave them to their own devices.
The sand sifters do just that, they are a clean up crew (Like Bristle
worms) No point in adding *more* food increasing the likelihood of an
increase in Nitrates.

they sift the sand for all of the live critters that make your sandbed function
properly (if your using a Deep Sand Bed). Usually when all the critters are
eaten, the star will starve, and your sand bed will need to be re-seeded or it
will become a time bomb.

As Rod stated the sand sifting stars eat the pods in the sand as well
as the other crude. I had one in my 55 gal that do just that and I
did have to reseed the sand bed.
