Quick Question.

I have an opportunity to pick up some LR pretty cheap. Problem is, it's got
this red hair all over it. I have not seen this anywhere before. Is it
algae? Should I avoid it? I have a decent cleaning crew and I think they
could handle it.

Thoughts?

my tangs clean it off any rock within a few hours of being placed in the
tank, i picked up 350 lbs of beautiful LR (after they cleaned it off of
course) for about 2 bucks a lb because of the algae that was on it.

I wouldnt touch it with a 10ft pole if it is the same red hair algae
that i had. the "pink cotton candy" people have talked about.
I fought it for well over a year and gave up. started the tank over. (then
read the article that mex turbos eat it.)
