The Blue Linkea is probably too big for a 29 gallon tank, but I wonder
if even a little orange or red one is as strong as it appears and might
topple my somewhat delicately balanced rocks. I don't know if you can
tell from this photo that I have many small live rocks as well as a few
big ones. Does it seem like inviting disaster to get a small red one?
I also am concerned about how much they eat. I no longer have to clean
the glass because there is no visible algae. Even the back glass is
licked clean. I like the appearance of some green strands and I have
none whatsoever. Would the little Linkea therefore get not enough to eat?
Here's the pic. It's a very small file.

You can wreak havoc, but empires get wrecked. I should be patient and
proof read.

Well we've had orange linkea for quit awhile now. I've never seen it
disturb anything. My big snails reek havoc with things. The orange
linkea have a reputation for being hard to keep alive but mine seems
to thrive.

Someone else will have to answer the algae question. Mine seems
indifferent to the seaweed sheets I feed the snails now and then.

He's one of my favorite things in the tank.

Complaining no algae? That is not normal. Most people will complain about
how to get rid of it.

1. Increase feeding
2. Feed "nori" [seaweed]
3. Find another type of food that will leak nutrient to your water.
4. Slow down your PS - Make it less efficient.

Or
5. Use another ballast and hook up a off-shift spectrum [old bulb]. You can
independently turn off / on.
6. Harvest some algae from a reefer have out-of-control algae.
7. Put in sponge or coarse filter to increase nitrate production.
8. Unload some janitoral crew to someone may need more than you do.

Recommended 1 - 4.
Not Recommended 5 - 8

BTW, your tank look good and seem to be too clean. I even do not not see any
coraline on anywhere.
