View Full Version : My anemone won't open!

I bought a simple (but big) condy long tentacle anemone. It was wide
open for about a week but moved around a lot, not attaching to
anything. It's been a couple of months now and it's still alive, but
just not taking in as much water as it could and still not attaching.
The tentacles are really short now, nothing close to what it can open
up to.

My water is pretty much perfect every time it's tested. I'm adding
iodine, plankton (live and Chromoplex), and calcium. I have 110w of
power compacts in this 30 gallon tank (one 10,000k and one actinic).
I have plenty of circulation, plenty of spots for it to hide, plenty
of areas also to get out of the circulation if it wants...everything
every expert I've talked to said I needed. It's not eating anything
big, either...it just lets go of it if I try and give him some fish.

I also have plenty of soft corals that are doing just fine. So, given
all that, does anyone have any ideas why this sucker isn't happy?
