Does the Pacific Blue Spotted sting ray require the same degree of water
changes as the South American freshwater sting rays ? That is a water
change of 40 % two times a week ? Thank.

I dont own a "south american freshwater sting ray"
But i do own a blue spotted sing ray
I dont do anything near a 40% water change 2X a week
im good if I do a 10% waterchange every month.
the tank should be a FO preditor setup, a GOOD skimmer and a nitrate removal method (coil
denitrifiers work good), and mechanical/bio/chemical filtration are a must!
dont use rio's or mag drives best to use a pump with a seperate wet end from the dry end
and a plastic isolator(sold at washer/dryer stores cheap). keep flor tubes isolated from
tank water. and no rocks in the tank use fine sand. there also temperate so keep the
temps down.
