I have been at this only for a couple of years, so I am no expert. However
I have found a few keys to success for new tanks. That may save you time
and money.
I have had several sets and now have a 20 and 55. both reefs both housing
soft corals and anenomes.
When setting up a tank most of experience brown/red algea and diatoms which
make your tank look like crap. Well after using this product on all my set
ups over the years I have come to realize its the best $10 you can spend
when setting up a tank. Both availble from doctors foster and smith online.
Other places also.
Chemi-Pure
Phos-Zorb
I set up a 20 gallon a few months ago and when through the whole setup
ordeal and tried water changes no sponge filters, everything to get rid of
the above mentioned problems. Add other those products and in 2 days its
clear and looking awesome. Just try it if it doesnt work send me the bill.
I used on my 55 gal a year ago and have not had to use them since. I think
they are a good kick start in the butt for any tank.
