Over the past few weeks a few of the shrimps in my tank haven't been showing
themselves. I've not known whether they're hiding in the rockwork or not.
About 3 weeks ago I introduced an anenome and 2 percula clowns. The anenome
chose to enter the inlet of my filtration, with disasterous results and
ended up in anenome heaven.
The 2 percula seemed OK and another anenome has been ordered.
We went away for the weekend (Zurich; .... ah....drool......Chocolate...)
and on Sunday noticed one of the purcula's missing. The tank lid is tight
fitting and I cannot see any body or bones.
Its possible that the fish has sunk between the rockwork (don't they usually
float?). I'm also wondering if there is some predator in the tank with the
shrimp, and the fish having gone missing. The tank has only been set up for
a few months and has a fair amount of live rock and the only other fish are:
1 Percula
1 Blue Cheek Goby
1 Purple Flamefish
1 Coral Goby
Any thoughts?
