Hi all,
Just wanted to share my experience and ask a question.

I added some more LR to my tank today. It's a 75g thats been going for
about 3-1/2 months. (getting closer =)) I added another 12lbs of Live Rock
which brings my total up to 60lbs. Again, I am getting closer =)
Instead of having all the rock laid out flat like a farm I decided I had
enough to try stacking it along the back wall. I pretty much filled it up
but I stirred up quite a bit of sand in the proccess. I'll takes some pics
tomorrow.

To my question, finally...

Is allowing the rock to rest on the back side of the glass a big deal? I
mean it's mainly for balance it's not like it's supporting all of the
weight. I'm just wondering if I should be concerned.

Also, I am going to do my first water change tomorrow. Any reason I should
not do it the day after I restructered the LR and stirred stuff up?

TIA!

No concern is needed, as long as there is still plenty of water movement behind
the reef structure.

No reason at all.. it would have been a good time while the while everything
is/was still stirred up.

I have done this many times in the past. It should not be a problem
except that you will probably end up scratching the glass. If you plan
on selling this tank down the line, this is a problem. Other wise go
for it....

None that I know of.

Have fun,
