Ok, rookie question time. I've got a 26g tall fully planted tank. The
swords are getting tall and thick. Should I trim them straight across
and or thin them out at the base. The others I just take a scissors
and trim them several inches shorter.
your thoughts,

I trim swords by removing leaves from the base. To thin the plant,
remove the older, outer leaves. To shorten it, remove the tallest ones.
If you just cut straight across, you'll make the plant look odd for a
while.
