If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly
imagine!

P.s. - for as long as humanity exists this newsgroup will never die. I plan
on regularly visiting this newsgroup even if this said newsgroup has as much
off topic posts as it does now or even more.

Reel mckoi - your post about the koi with red streaks in their fins -
according to my maracyn disease chart the fish are starting to get dropsy
and I recommend the owners do a significant water change as soon as
possible. Good luck and they might need medicine to nip it in the bud before
it is too late. Later!

Thank you. I'll print this out and give it to them.
They sell Maracyn in all the pet shops here.

They (the mardel company - makers of maracyn, etc .)recommend maracyn 2 but
I think there are formulations possibly of a different brand that are more
appropriate for pond fish (i.e. the formulations handle more water per
bottle, etc.). You're welcome, and thanks to you too for helping out a
fellow ponder, later!

I'm glad to hear you are as tenacious as I am Maxx. One day this group will
get back to fish and ponds.

Keep us updated on your pond situation. I can see my neighbor
across-the-road's new 6000 gallon pond from my dining room window. They're
thrilled with it. So far they've had no problems. They shaped it like a
cigar for some reason ?!?!?! It's long instead of oval or round in shape.
There's no space problems since they have 5 acres. The waterfall is in the
middle and you can see both ends look a bit "stagnant." I offered to lend
them the pond books I have but he had his heart set on this odd shape. The
people next door (on the next lot actually. I live in the country) bought
one of those performed Home Depot ponds but hasn't installed it yet. The
husband, in his 60s, suffered heat-stroke this past summer and for some
reason isn't doing too well. There must be at least 4 homes with ponds now
on this one section of road.
