View Full Version : Yellow Tang

Jason Anderson

I have a yellow tang that has been in my tank for 3 months. It is white and
swimming upside down off and on throughout the day. Is it going to die?

It sounds like it will. How long has your tank been running? What do you
feed the fish?

You again heh. Hasn't your Internet been taken away yet?

It will be soon! Your IP address is: 68.13.174.203 and your ISP is Cox
Communications. On cable, you are! And by the way, the Gateway at Cox
stores your IP address in its arp table which also stores the serial number
of your modem. They can find you in about 5 minutes. Quit harrasing people
in this newsgroup or you will get a call from your ISP. You also run an FTP
server, which most likely goes against their acceptable use policy.

Have a nice day,

Aaron

You're a funny guy. Ever heard of freedom of speech? You can't make me go
away because of what I say or because you don't like me. ;)

What is even funnier is that what you know about me... so many other people
know too and because wireless technology exists... that's what makes this
spanking possible. If this connection goes... I'll just hijack another. :)
Or I could just start using my DS3 connection, but I don't want to
jeopardize my business by subjecting myself to idiots like you that know how
to run a port scanner. Next thing, you would be launching a DOS against my
business because I spank your fishgroup.

BTW, running port scanners is against your TOS and you shouldn't be calling
the kettle black. ;)

I've been around this group for years boy... I could teach you a few things
and that would be that revenge should be anonymous and if you want to play a
game... I am one step ahead of you.

No need for port scanners. Just opened an FTP client. I doubt that you are
using another persons wireless network. The IP address on all of your
messages have been the same. And even if you are, Cox can give the person
using that IP a call and have them secure their wireless network and your
done. This newsgroup is intended for discussions related to marine reefs.
A shopping mall is meant for shopping and anybody harassing people, being
vulgar or obnoxious in public(which these news groups are - public)
generally are removed. And usually arrested. Hijacking a WI/FI network is
also illegal.

BTW Aaron... or should I call you Ace ;)?

Just so that we are on the same playing field. Your x-posting header
reflects the same info as my server logs.

You are: 24.71.122.21

IP name: h24-71-122-21.ok.shawcable.net

And guess what!!!??? The spam (will hit millions), the DOS attacks (over
300 high profile web sites), the terroristic threats... gotta love routers
that allow for packet molestation with your ip address.

Welcome to my game, Ace.

I'll play with you now. You're more along my line of fun. This group is
getting old.

Internet Security is my specialty silly boy. People say that I don't hide my
tracks because I post from the same IP address some times for months but
guess what? I have been spanking you for 4 years. I have many connections
available to me and again, if this one is compromised and secured, then I
will be back on another one in a second. I checked out your history... you
should know me. You have been around here a while too. All the way back when
you were on the @home network. )

I love playing these games and I love reading posts by idiots that think
they can moderate the usenet because something I say is off topic. Why do
you think I do this? To **** people like you off. Especially idiots like you
from canada. ;)

Just as I thought. It is your own connection. Here is something you said
in an old post.

-------------------------------------------
I can change the MAC address on my router and get a new ip in a second.

This won't stop the problem.

Get a clue retards.
---------------------------------------------

By the way, again, the arp entry at Cox records MAC addresses with modem
serial numbers.

You would be surprised at how many clients I have and how everything is

Seems your cable modem just became "mine" too.

As for the serial number... my clients own their modems and a serial number
is not required to activate their accounts.

Either way... I'm shaking in my boots canadian.

Just as I thought. It is your own connection. Here is something you said
in an old post.

-------------------------------------------
I can change the MAC address on my router and get a new ip in a second.

This won't stop the problem.

Get a clue retards.
---------------------------------------------

By the way, again, the arp entry at Cox records MAC addresses with modem
serial numbers.

A serial number is required by the ISP otherwise the modem would not be
authenticated. and the person using the modem would not get a monthly bill.
Unless your clients use stolen modems and your ISP is unaware that they have
their hardware in permissive mode, which is highly unlikely. And if they do

Dude. You really should stick to what you know because just because a device
has a serial number, that doesn't mean that the ISP (I own one) needs the
serial number of the device to send you a ****ing bill. In case you didn't
know this, we don't have to rent modems in the US. Our customers have the
right to rent a modem or provide their own modem. The MAC address that comes
up on the device when they attempt to put it on our network is assigned to
their account. Not the god damn serial number. Maybe your ISP works that
way, but not Cox. As for your attempts at hacking my router (you should see
these logs :)) it's a Cisco 806 as for hijacking your modem... I would never
attempt something so risky when I can forge the packets in an attempt to
make them look like they are from your device, your network, your isp. Maybe
you should go ask some more questions in the newsgroup because you appear to
be text book semi-smart, but common sense and practical use stupid.

Maybe you should read more before you spout off on something you don't know
**** about. All Cisco routers have the capability of assigning a user
specific MAC address for the purpose of making the device portable on a
network. All any of my customers need to do in order to pick up a new IP
address is to put a different MAC in front of the modem. Next time, I will
be sure to write a book so that the dumb ****s like you won't have to ask
stupid questions.

Maybe I'm stupid but how and the hell can you change a MAC address?

Obviously you have little to now experience with cable modems. Dialup ISP's
work differently than cable. You don't have a clue.
MAC address, Serial number, doesn't matter it is still registered with the
ISP. As for hacking, I don't hack. I simply find you, contact your ISP and
have your account shut down. You are the one threating to take control of my
modem, which you can't do because you don't have the ability. Only a failing
business person or an imature person would have the poor attitude that you
seem to have. Enjoy life without harming others, verbaly or physically
before you wind up in jail.

LOL. You're the one poking around on my network canadian.

Try again... simple and effective access list... if you're IP isn't in the
router, you can't talk to that port. Probably should have been set up that
way from the beginning since all that warez is coming out of that place. ;)

Cox employees aren't tested on intelligence, only the speed at which they
can type...

If you can put your fingers on the keyboard, they'll hire you....

"Internet Security is my specialty silly boy."

That's funny.. because if you were, atleast in the know, you'd have
something that randomized your IP, your header, and all your info.... I know
a girl over in the FW group that does that, she even wrote the proggy that
does it... and the reason you can't use it, is because you're not at home,
you're at work, workin' for the man, probably minimum wage....

I know Cox hires smart people... you call them your BOSS!!!

LOL. You are totally clueless... just about as clueless as the doctor that
thought I lived in Kansas.

I am glad you think I work for Cox. This makes it all a lot more fun.

With all due respect:

Please stop filling the newsgroups with this trash. If you really
want to make a point go to canada, and measure your dicks and settle
it once and for all.

BTW: AC, this is really beneath you! You know your stuff, why are
you wasting time with a pisant like this?

People come to this newsgroup looking for advice, information, etc.. Only to
be harassed by this person and chassed away from the group, even the
internet. I've seen it happen time and time again. I find it very
frustrating.

I have been lurking in this newsgroup for a long time and cannot help but
reply to your post Aaron.

You might have done something "good" for this newsgroup by getting rid of
one troll, but please give up on your attempts to moderate this newsgroup. I
pay a monthly fee (like others) to download newsgroup posts and by you
fighting with these trolls, you in turn are costing me (and others) money in
the long run by having to download your posts. Also, I simply created a
filter in my newsreader that blocked the troll from getting through my
newsserver. I used the troll's ip address which seemed to never change. I
suggest that you and others practice the same type of filtering or find
another place to post.

Heidi

What news reader are you using? You pay an extra monthly fee for
newsgroups?

No. Reread my original post. I subscribe to Supernews (read the header)
which costs me a monthly membership fee and if I exceed my monthly allocated
bandwidth amount by reading all of the garbage that trolls and moderators
such as yourself post to the newsgroup, it ****es me off in the end when I
have to shell out more money to pay for the extra bandwidth.

Now do you understand Aaron?

My point was that if I have to spend extra money on bandwidth (Newsfeed
Bandwidth) because of Aaron trying to moderate Usenet, hence adding to the
number of posts that I download from my newsserver feed, I would like to
point out this flaw vs. killfiling him. No one can moderate this newsgroup
and if anything, they are going to attempt to moderate and fail resulting in
obnoxious newspostings and further rude behavior. This newsgroup is for
people who want to learn and not people who want to be bombarded with
lessons in IT.

I believe that Aaron might (someday) have something to offer to the
newsgroup, but for now, he is only attempting to moderate the newsgroup and
in turn he is only killfiling himself because of this activity.

End of thread.

I'm not trying to moderate the group just getting fed up with trolls. But
Heidi; aren't you also trying to moderate the group? Personally I would
rather chase the trolls away than have to killfile everybody.

There you go. It appears to me that you are only begging for this person to
return. Maybe they are on vacation. Historically, the troll has been in this
group for nearly 4 years. He/She has been on multiple ISP connections from
what I have seen in the past. I wouldn't count on him/her being gone. Just
on vacation. The more you talk about this person, the less likely they will
go away so, do us all a favor and keep your focus on the group. Not the
trolls.
