Some Quick Questions

1. I have Caulerpa Nummularia growing on one of my rocks in the back of my
tank. How much of a nuisance is this algae? (29G tank)

2. When blue leg hermit crabs molt, does it look just like a hermit crab
minus it's shell?

3. I have what looks like several red club tipped anemones on one piece of
live rock. Right now they are less than 1/2 inch across. Research says
they are corallimorphs, not true anemones. Keep or yank them out? Fish are
2 clowns and a red headed goby.

4. I had a Caribbean feather duster lose its crown. I now have several
small feather dusters in my sandbed that have the same markings on their
feathers. They look nothing like the small ones on my rock. The large one
has regrown its crown and looks healthy. I read that feather dusters will
shed their crowns when they spawn. Do they spawn in captivity? Can the
small dusters in the sand be offspring?

Don't have any experance with this type of caulerpa, but in general they
are not to much of a nuisance.

yes, but the crab looks very transparent.

Sounds like they might be a Majemo sp (I think I butchered that
spelling), anemone which is concidered by most to be a major pest.

The small ones are not the offspring of the larger. First for the
larger to spawn you would need 2 of them, possible even 2 of the correct
sex if they are not hemaphrodites. The small ones are very common
hitchhickers showing up in tanks. I have one tank that when you look
under the rocks that are just off the bottom, all you can see is small
featherdusters.
