View Full Version : Temperature question

I recently set up a 10 gallon freshwater aquarium. My submerged
thermometer shows a water temp. of 80 degress without the heater even
being plugged in. Is this too hot for small community fish (like Zebra
Danios) that prefer temperatures in the low-mid 70's?

I doubt it's TOO hot but they might not breed at that temperature. Good luck
and later!

I have a Zebra Danios and my temps are @ 27c(80f), and he seems to like
it ok.

I have a 29 gallon tank that stays around 80. I don't have Danios,
but it is a community tank with a variety of fish. Its been set up
for about 2 and 1/2 years. I quit worrying about the temperature in
the second year.

80F that's 27C, right? That's perfect for danios.
