My tap water stays consistently at 8.4 (6 months). I'm keeping orandas,
shebunkins, and pearlscale goldfish in 3 tanks. Would you lower it, or
do you think it best to leave well enough alone? I know it's a little high.

I agree, its best to leave it alone as you will more than likely cause
more problems "playing" around with it. Goldfish adapt to a wide range
of water conditions : )

Leave it alone. It's better a little high than to be going up and down from
using PH lowering products.
