Overwintering Frogs

My plastic-lined garden pond is less than 3 feet deep and several frogs
have moved in.

The pond freezes solid, and ends up deep under snow drifts.

If I drain the pond, will the frogs migrate to a deeper body of water?

They will die if they are frozed solid. If you drain the pond they will
move on. Will they find a pond before winter? Depends how near one is
and how long they have to find it. They did manage to find yours, so
there is one that can be reached somewhere.

The frogs will die if they freeze solid. You can drain the pond and remove
the frogs to the nearest natural water source.

Thanks for your responses. I solved the problem by draining the pond,
and as the water subsided, I caught them all and delivered them to a
nearby natural pond.
