Ornament Paints

[William Hardin]

I have some top fin ornaments I like, but the paint is coming off. What
kind of paint can I get in bright colors, and is air-brushable, that is
aquarium safe?

I would imagine that epoxy paints might be non-toxic if allowed to fully
air cure. Have you tried asking the manufacturer (Top Fin) or even email
Hagen (or other manufacturers of these decorations) to see if they have
any recommendations. Ultimately, you can use any latex paint, but would
have to seal it, in a marine 2 part clear epoxy. That might actually be
easier than getting an epoxy paint of all the colors you want, and clear
epoxy sealant is relatively easy to locate.
