hey, its me again. i have a question which i am really concern.
i have 2 red ear sliders, and one walks normally in the underwater but
the other one walks sideways, like tilting(45 degree angle). It had
never done this till now, i don't know what might have cause this. Was
it probably because i left both of them sleep in the floor, they always
sleep in their aquarium. but the other RES doesn't have a problem with
swimming. What might be the problem.
thnx for ur time

Sounds like his balance is off, perhaps due to an inner ear infection.

Hopefully if it is something benign like an inner ear infection then it
might go away on it's own. If not you might ave to take your red ear slider
turtle to a veterinarian. I have tried looking a little bit for my own
turtles for medications/etc. and haven't found anything I would use just in
case mine ever got sick. Compared to fish, once something goes wrong it is
always a big deal when it comes to a lot of reptiles. The lack of medicines
for turtles/etc. makes it hard to play doctor. You might try a sulfa block
or two for your res and see if that clears it up. The sulfa block might just
make your turtles feel better enough that the res with the problem might get
an immune system boost with enough oooomph! to clear what ever it is up.
Good luck and later!
