Egg lights are just small submergible lights. Cal Pump has the
copyright on the original egg lite......IMNSHO Egg lites are just way
over priced. Have yiou checked out Harbor Freight for a small 10 watt
submersible light with 4 different color lenses and included xromer?
Hard to beat for a mere $7 or $8 bucks.......However if your
interested in "egg Lites" check out the following link...it has a
whole slew of pond lights and the egg lites are towards the bottom.

I haven't heard of anything called an egg light, perhaps they were referring
to it's shape, not a product name.
Try this, it's often sold under the Malibu product line. You can usually
find it in a hardware store such as home depot or lowes in the garden light
section.

Otherwise you can make one out of a car headlamp sealed beam, which is what
I did, easy to make, brighter and car headlamps are designed for exposure to
the elements. Plus it's worked for the past 3 years with no work on my part.

Let me know if you need help in making one.

My experience with the egg light was that it gave a nice lighing effect
but was expensive and was not water tight after a season.
