View Full Version : Excel Flourish vs DIY CO2

Can anyone tell me if the Excel Flourish can do as well (for my
plants) as the DIY. I think my tank is fertilized enough and the
light source is good but the plants are just ok. Should I go back to
DIY and if so is there another way other than mixing a new batch every
other week or so?
TIA

I'm no expert, but my understanding is that Excel works great. A DIY
can work great too, but only if you get good dissolution of CO2 (ie a
simple airstone is not enough). I do not know which of Excel and a
good DIY solution would give the best growth.

I seem to remember a figure of around 60% of CO3 for the Excel. All I
know is I add it to my 10 gallon 3 times a week and it works wonders.
Only problem is my Pygmy Chain swords aren't pygmy any more :-).
