Ghost Anemone?

Hi all,
Recently, I was viewing my reef at night with a flash light around
2:00am and I found something really wierd. It looked like a small anemone
but it was so transparent you can not see it in direct light. I had to use
the indirect light (the outter ring) from the flash light to get a good
look. One of them is about the size of a golf ball and there are a few
others but they are much smaller. They are on the LR and not the sand.
I've looked for them one other time and they appear to be able to move as
they were not in exactly the same places. I did a google on ghost anemone
but I found very little and I do not think they are the same as what turned
up.

Any ideas what it is?

That sounds a lot more like an Aptasia to me. (glass anemone)

sounds like aptasia to me Mort.

I forgot to mention, they are completely invisable during the day. Either I
cant see them because they are invisable or they go in to hiding.

Is this typical of Aiptasia

No, you can see aiptasias very well during day.
Are yours having white dots on the tentacles end?

I'll have to look again to be sure but I think yes they do.

Also, I discovered, they are NOT mobile like I thought, They have wierd
looking holes that they retract in to. Almost looks like a mouth. They are
not out during the day. Also, I poked a couple of them last night to see
what would happen, and they somewhat slowly retracted in to their holes.

Any ideas?

Getting a picture is going to be next to impossible. These only come out at
night and I'd have to hold a flash light and the camera. I did try but the
settings on the camera would have to be adjusted to deal with the lighting
from the flashlight as the pics come out too blury.

I did take another look though and they DO have the white tips you were
asking about.

I'll get some pics of their "holes" maybe that will help?

The reason I asked about white tips is that I have the same
"ghost anemones" in my tank all over the rockwork...
They are pretty hungry all the time and eat all critters
which enter their "mouth". Somebody guessed these are
Epizoanthus couchii but they have white dots on the oral
disk, not on the tentacles tips like mine have...
